February Half Term 2014

January 2014 Newsletter

January 2014

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s)

Happy New Year to you all and welcome to our new children, parents and carers.

Breakfast Club

With immediate effect, we would like all children to eat a breakfast when they come to the breakfast club. We currently offer cereal, toast, crumpets, pancakes and yoghurts as well as milk. Whilst we appreciate some children do eat before they come into breakfast club, we will still ask them to have a drink as a minimum. Please do speak to me if you specifically do not wish your child to eat at breakfast club.

After School Club

We are now pleased to advise that our maximum booking list number is 60 children and we have now been able to offer all children on our waiting list a place. Please be advised that Wednesdays and Thursdays are our busiest days, so if you do need to book a place with us, please let us know as soon as possible. We continue to operate a 48 hours cancellation period without charge, but if cancellation is not received in this time, you will be charged the session rate of £7.50. We are available by email or telephone and we do have an answer phone should you need to leave a message.
I would also like to remind all parents/carers that ACE Club closes at 6pm. A late collection charge of £5 per 5 minutes per child will be charged should you pick up past 6pm. Please do call us if you are going to be late to enable us to ensure we have enough members of staff available to cover this late period.

If your child is booked in on a one off session, we would expect payment prior to that session or on collection. Any payments not made on time, will be subject to a late payment charge of £5 and additionally, £5 per week that the payment is late.

If your child is off sick from school, please remember to let us know. The Infant and Junior schools cannot be expected to pass messages to ACE Club, so please email or call us. If we do not hear from you, we will apply a cancellation charge to your account, of the session fee applicable.

Holiday Club

ACE Holiday Club is open on Friday 14th February to cover the non pupil day at the schools.
Our session rates remain the same for the coming half term; £11.00 for a half session (8am – 1pm/1pm – 6pm) or £22.00 for a full session (8am – 6pm). Can I please ask that payment for sessions is made before the day, or on drop off of your child to avoid a late payment charge being applied to your account.

Staff Changes

Denise will be leaving ACE Club on 14th February and we would like to thank her for all her hard work over the past 7 years. She will be missed by all the children and staff. This has opened up a vacancy for a Playworker within ACE and we have placed an advert in the local paper this week. If you are interested or know of anyone who is interested in working at ACE Club, each day 3pm – 6pm, please contact me as soon as possible.

Ann has now officially finished at ACE Club as she has a new job, but will continue to send invoices and keep your payment accounts up to date. If there are any queries, please continue to contact us by email or speak to me direct.

The weekly after school menus menus are now on the website for you to look at.

October 2013 Newsletter

October 2013

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s)

Welcome back to you all and a special warm welcome to our new parents this term. I would like to say a big thank you to you all for your support over a very busy summer holiday and also for your support during this first half term.
Over the holidays I have accumulated some lost property. If your child left any clothing with us, I would be grateful if you could call in and pick it up. I will hold onto lost property until Christmas, but due to shortage of space anything left after then will be taken to local charity shops.

I would like to welcome some new members of staff, who started with us this term. They are Emma Scutt who works at the breakfast and after school club every day; Julie Moore and Mandy Page who work at the after school club two afternoons a week; Mandy Warwick, working every day in the after school club; and Selina Drane who is our new cook, working both mornings and afternoons.

We will shortly be uploading our afterschool menus onto the website, so please keep an eye open for these.

We continue to take childcare vouchers through Edenred, Care 4, Kiddivouchers and Computer Share. If you are in receipt of any childcare voucher that we are not registered with, we will be more than happy to sign up with that company. We are also able to accept payments via internet banking and by card or cash directly with ACE Club. As a reminder, we no longer accept payments by cheque.

Due to a full booking list and a high current waiting list for our after school club, we now require 48 hours notice of a cancellation at the after school club; previously 24 hours notice. If 48 hours notice is not given, a charge of £7.50 will be applied to your account (previously £5.00). Please see revised Terms and Conditions which details all payment requirements, cancellation and late payment information. Cancellations can be made by phone or email directly with ACE Club.

I would like to remind everyone of our opening and closing times:
• Breakfast Club opens at 7.45am
• After School Club opens at 3pm and closes at 6pm.
• Holiday Club opens at 8am and closes at 6pm

If your child/children is absent from school due to sickness, please contact ACE Club on 01799 520356 or send us an email as acekidsclub4@gmail.com, to let us know. The Infant/Junior school will not be able to pass on absence messages. If we do not hear from you, a cancellation charge will be applied to your account.
